The Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Petroleum Engineering programme at UCSI University is designed to equip students with a solid foundation and knowledge on oil and gas exploration, development, as well as on the processes starting from production to completion.

  • Min. 5 credits in SPM, including Maths, and 2 sciences (Physics, Chemistry,or Biology) to enter into the Foundation in Science
  • Min. 2 Principals (Cs) in STPM; Math, and Physics or Chemistry to enter into the degree
  • Min. 2 Ds in ALevels; Math, and Physics or Chemistry to enter into the degree
  • Min. 5 Credits (Bs) in UEC, including Math, and Physics or Chemistry to enter into the degree. 4Bs to enter into Foundation.
Programme Details
In this programme, students are also required to undergo industrial training under
UCSI University’s Co-Operative Placement (Co-Op) Programme in the end of the second and third academic year of study. The objective of the Co-Op programme is to provide an avenue for students to gain exposure to the professional practices in an actual working environment in addition to enhancing the necessary soft skills pertinent to their individual development. Student learning is also enriched through industry visits, talks by guest speakers from professional bodies, laboratory work as well as plant design projects among other hands-on activities.

Housing 7 different blocks, the Campus includes the Student Centre (Menara Gading), the Resource Centre, the Academic Blocks and Residential Halls to comfortably accommodate a student population of more than 15000.
Sporting facilities in this Campus include: basketball, badminton and squash courts, as well as a gymnasium, a football field, and a swimming pool.

The University is also constantly working with the industry to set up specialised labs which ensure students are updated with the latest industrial practices. Currently, the University has established laboratories jointly with National Instruments and RICOH under the School of Engineering and the School of Information Technology, respectively.
Due to its rapid expansion, an additional 48-storey building will be built on the existing Campus that will include a 5-Star hotel, twelve floors of parking bays and hostel accommodations for UCSI University students, administrative offices, restaurants, a ballroom and also a clubhouse.
